Aged for a considerable amount of time, The Glenlivet 18 Y - Batch Reserve is one of the flagship expressions from this classic Speyside distillery. While it might not be their most sold whisky, it certainly is one of their most awarded. For example, it has won several gold medals at the International Wine and Spirits Competition. Over the course of its maturation, master distiller Alan Winchester takes The Glenlivet 18 Y through a combination of cask types, including first and second-fill American oak and ex-sherry casks.
