Laphroaig - Triple Wood 70cl
The island of Islay is famous for its smoky whiskies. This is because the barley is still traditionally dried over a peat fire. Laphroaig was opened in 1815 and became a major and popular distillery. Their Triple Wood has aged in no less than 3 different barrels. First on Bourbon barrels (200 liters), then on so-called Quarter Casks, old-fashioned transportation barrels of max. 120 liters. The last ripening is in Oloroso sherry butts (500 liters).
